With the Union Plus Auto Buying Service, buying or leasing a car or truck doesn't have to be a hassle. Union members can receive pre-negotiated, best-market auto pricing on new cars, trucks, motorcycles and most other vehicles without having to negotiate directly with the dealer.

The Union Plus Auto Buying Service, administered by Vehicle Advantage, a leading auto fleet purchasing and leasing provider, can also help you find and buy used cars and trucks. And your personal Vehicle Advisor can assist you throughout the buying process, from selection of a car to the final delivery based upon pre-negotiated auto pricing and the best dealer service.

What are the program features for this new auto buying/leasing or used car buying advice service for union members?

• Additional $100 rebate from Union Privilege with the purchase of a new union-assembled vehicle. (Only vehicles purchased through the program are eligible for the rebate. If you go to the dealer directly, there will be no rebate.)
  
  
• New auto buying advice and pre-negotiated auto pricing on most new cars or trucks purchased or leased through the Union Plus Auto Buying Service typically 2 to 3% over dealer invoice.
  
  Prices for Saturn and Scion are fixed by the manufacturer and not discounted. Generally, dealers do not discount Lexus, Infiniti, BMW and Mercedes Benz. Also, some high demand models may not be discounted. Check with your Vehicle Advisor.

• Used car or truck pricing at 4% over the dealer's cost of the car plus preparation.

• Skilled personal Vehicle Advisors available to help you over the phone with your new or used auto pricing and purchase questions and throughout the car buying or leasing process.

• Contact the Union Plus Auto Bying Service to setup a test drive before going to the dealership.
  
  
• Call the program's dedicated toll-free number, 1-866-437-2336, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm weekdays ET, and speak with a personal Vehicle Advisor or when you are ready to buy or lease, complete a vehicle purchase/lease order form online with your information and the vehicle type. You must enter RU-502 in the partner code field on the online order form in order to be eligible for the Union Plus Auto Buying Service program.

• Your personal Vehicle Advisor will locate the requested car or truck at a dealer in your area and negotiate a price for the auto based on fleet pricing for new vehicles and at near local auction cost plus preparation for used cars and trucks.

• The Vehicle Advisor will then report to you with the pre-negotiated price and upon your acceptance you may complete the purchase/lease process at the special Union Plus Auto Buying Service price.
  
  
• Your Vehicle Advisor will connect you with the Dealer for delivery at a mutually agreeable time.
  
  
• The program does not negotiate financing or leasing arrangements. However, you are in a good position because you have set the price of the vehicle first.
  
  
• After purchase, you will receive a check for $100 within 6 to 8 weeks if you purchase a new union-assembled vehicle. (Rebate not available for pre-owned vehicles.)

While the Union Plus Auto Buying Service program can provide an excellent value for a vast majority of union members, it may not appear to provide the lowest auto pricing for those members who want to take the time to haggle from dealer to dealer. Also, some cars or trucks may be in such demand that they require premium pricing (or may be excluded from the program). However, even for auto buyers who make car buying a sport, this auto buying or leasing service program can provide an excellent price point from which to start from.
