Last summer we asked union members to share their top credit questions with us. Frankly, we were astonished by how many people took the time to write us about a variety of issues, ranging from boosting their credit scores to digging out of debt.

As a result, we expanded our credit education advice and UnionDebtHelp.org content, incorporating many of the topics you raised.

But we want to do even more to make sure you have the tools you need to weather today’s credit crunch.

We arranged an exclusive online seminar (“Webinar”) with consumer credit expert Gerri Detweiler. She’s the author of four personal finance books, testified before Congress, and has been featured in many news articles.

During the live Webinar on May 29, Gerri covered many credit topics including:

• Ways to save money by avoiding credit card fees,
• The value of boosting your credit score by just 30 points,
• How to read your credit report, and more.  

Gerri also answered credit questions from union members. We recorded the Webinar so you can watch this 60-minute presentation now or whenever it fits your schedule.  Then follow Gerri's proven tips for getting out of debt.  They work for even the tightest budgets.

How can I listen to the Webinar?

We recorded the live Webinar and incorporated the audio into the presentation slides. Simply download the Powerpoint presentation.* The file will open automatically when you click on the link. Then advance through the presentation at your own pace. The audio will begin automatically when you open each slide.

Tips for viewing the presentation

• You can advance the presentation in the following ways:

*Use the page down key
*Use the down arrow key
*Use your mouse to click on the arrows in the lower left-hand corner of the presentation (the arrows appear when you hover over the presentation with your mouse).

• You can replay the audio on each slide simply by clicking on the sound icon in the lower right-hand corner of each slide.
  
  
• You can stop the audio on each slide by simply using the page down or down arrow keys. Hitting the key once stops the audio, hitting the key twice advances the presentation.
  
  
• You can end the presentation at anytime by using the escape key in the upper left-hand corner of your keyboard or you can close your browser window.

*If the presentation does not open in slide show view, simply click on the "Slide Show" tab if using Office 2007 and then click on "From the Beginning" to begin viewing the presentation.
